How does the hotel or Airbnb pickup service work?

Pick-up is available between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. directly from your accommodation in Cusco. Alternatively, you can meet us at our office at Portal Nuevo 270, Plaza Regocijo (near Plaza de Armas) at 5:00 a.m., which is the final meeting point before departure. Please provide your hotel or Airbnb details when booking, or let us know if you prefer to meet at the office. End of the Tour – Where does it finish?

The tour ends between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Plaza Regocijo in Cusco’s historic center. If you need to be dropped off at the airport or bus terminal, please inform your guide in advance so we can coordinate it for you.

What is the Q’eswachaka Inca Bridge?

The Q’eswachaka Bridge is the last remaining handwoven Inca suspension bridge, located in the province of Canas, about 3.700 meters (12,000 ft) above sea level. It is rebuilt every year by local communities using ichu (Andean grass), keeping alive an ancestral tradition recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

How long is the drive and walking time?

The drive from Cusco to the bridge area takes around 3.5 hours, with scenic stops at Andean lagoons and small traditional villages. Walking is minimal—just a short hike (10–15 minutes) to reach the bridge viewpoint. Crossing the bridge is optional and takes only a few minutes.

Can I walk across the Inca Bridge? Is it safe?

Yes! Travelers who want the full experience can cross the Q’eswachaka Bridge. It is safe, as it has been freshly rebuilt by the local communities. However, it does sway, so it’s best for those comfortable with heights. Your guide will give you safety instructions before crossing.

Yes. The tour includes a delicious breakfast and a local lunch prepared with fresh Andean ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options are available at no extra cost—just let us know in advance.

What should I pack for this tour?

We recommend bringing:

Is this tour difficult?

No. Unlike high-altitude treks such as Rainbow Mountain, the Q’eswachaka tour is considered easy to moderate, with only short walks and plenty of time to rest. It is suitable for families, groups, and travelers of all ages.

Group Size, Guide & First Aid?

Groups are usually 14 to 16 travelers, with a maximum of 18, always led by a professional bilingual guide (English/Spanish). We also provide a first aid kit and oxygen in case of altitude-related issues.

Cancellations and Refunds?

• Cancel up to 24 hours before departure → 100% refund.

• Cancel within 24 hours but before 7:00 p.m. the day before → 50% refund.

• After 7:00 p.m. the day before → No refunds.
